Gloria Lucero Monzon Fund

The fund began as the SDPAA Medical Assistance Fund and was later renamed in honor of our longest-serving founder, Gloria Lucero Monzon, upon the suggestion of Sis Baby Allado, a devoted member of the Board.

The inaugural endowment started with PhP 500,000, generated from proceeds of the sorority’s 75th-anniversary fundraising efforts. In a generous act of continuing support, Sis Monalisa Lacanlale ’68 contributed an additional PhP 500,000, bringing the fund to PhP 1,000,000.

The fund provides one-time medical assistance grants of up to PhP 25,000 to Sisters whose requests are deemed meritorious. To protect privacy and maintain trust, the recipient’s name is not disclosed publicly; the payment is issued directly to the beneficiary, with oversight by a committee consisting of the President and the Treasurer. This fund embodies our commitment to sisterhood, resilience, and practical support for the wellbeing of our members. It stands as a living testament to our founders’ legacy and our ongoing advocacy for the health and welfare of every Sis.
