Annie Gerona Dee

Outstanding Achiever in Business and Entrepreneurship

Proudly a woman trailblazer in the world of mining that is traditionally led by men, Annie made a mark by founding Teresa Marble Corporation in 1976, an innovative business using second hand equipment discarded from logging operations. Her industrial engineering background and entrepreneurial training in the family stimulated her pioneering use of new techniques to produce marble blocks that were eventually exported as high value products to Europe. Annie is the forerunner of today’s version of Women in STEM — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — with her safe mining history and her vision for corporate sustainability.
